1. Differences in composition
Red copper: The main component is copper and silver, with a content of 99.7-99.95%; The main impurity elements are phosphorus, bismuth, antimony, arsenic, iron, nickel, lead, tin, sulfur, zinc, oxygen, etc.
Brass: Brass is an alloy composed of copper and zinc.
2. Different properties
Red copper: Red copper has good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, seawater, certain non oxidizing acids (hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid), alkali, salt solutions, and various organic acids (acetic acid, citric acid).
Brass: High strength, high hardness, and strong chemical corrosion resistance.
