Precautions for selecting spot welding heads

Spot welding heads are generally used in resistance welding equipment, which are in direct contact with the welded object and provide current and pressure directly to the welded object.

Spot welding is actually a type of electric welding, which relies on the instantaneous high temperature of the current to dissolve the welded object onto another object in contact, and then weld it together. An electric soldering iron is a handmade soldering tool that requires heating the soldering iron tip to above 300 ℃ for effective soldering.

When selecting spot welding heads, you can also choose from these aspects:
1. The selection of spot welding head data and types is mainly based on the melting point of solder wire data and solder pad data.
2. According to the requirements of the solder joint, select the contact area between the discharge part of the solder joint and the welded part. A large welding wire requires a large contact area.
3. Select the shape of the discharge section based on the welding wire data and welding data.
4. According to the principle of optimal discharge, set the shape of the welding head's focusing section.
However, it should be noted that empty welding cannot be carried out without contact with any metal. The spot welding head will experience a high temperature of thousands of degrees during discharge. If there is no contact with any metal body, the spot welding head will stay at high temperature for a long time. This is because air contact can easily form oxidation, resulting in a black oxide layer. This will reduce the service life of the welding head and the welding effect. The discharge part of the spot welding head prevents conductive foreign objects from sticking to the cavity. Assuming conductive foreign objects are adhered, the welding effect will decrease.
